🏰 Medieval Britain (1066 CE – 1485 CE)

β€œKings, knights, and peasants β€” a world shaped by loyalty, faith, and survival.”

🏞️ Historical Context

The medieval period in Britain was defined by feudalism, where society was strictly divided into kings, nobles, knights, and peasants. The Norman Conquest of 1066 introduced castles, feudal law, and a strong monarchy. The Catholic Church controlled vast wealth, influencing daily life from birth to death. The devastating Black Death reshaped populations and economies, while wars like the Hundred Years’ War and local skirmishes drove political power struggles. Despite hardship, villages, markets, and guilds thrived, creating a complex medieval world.
