“Monarchs rise, churches split, and fortunes are made — will your family thrive or fall?”

Historical Context

The Tudor period was an age of powerful monarchs, religious upheaval, exploration, and courtly intrigue. Henry VIII’s break with the Catholic Church created the Church of England, reshaping religious and political life. Under Elizabeth I, England experienced a golden age of literature, naval dominance, and trade expansion. Society remained rigid, with nobles, merchants, and peasants locked into social roles, and arranged marriages and court alliances were critical for family advancement.
