Most careers in The Sims 4 unlock new objects, clothing, interactions and higher salaries as Sims receive promotions. However, only certain careers award permanent traits. Career Status Trait
Former Noble Hustler
A Sim receives the Former Noble Hustler trait after leaving the Noble career.
It records their previous experience in high society and allows them to retain some knowledge of noble life. It is a career status trait rather than a reward for reaching a particular level.

Final Thoughts
Only a small selection of careers in The Sims 4 award permanent traits. Most careers instead reward Sims with new objects, clothing, interactions and financial bonuses.
Career reward traits can be particularly useful for legacy gameplay because they remain with the Sim after they leave the career. Choosing the right branch can therefore provide lasting benefits beyond a Sim’s working life.
