What Is It?
The Fount of Tomarani Knowledge aspiration is a cultural exploration path from The Sims 4: For Rent expansion pack. It acts as a semi-tutorial for the new world, introducing you to the lifestyle, food, and landmarks of Tomarang, a vibrant world inspired by Southeast Asia.
Your Sim will learn local customs, connect with unique personalities, taste regional dishes, and explore sacred and mysterious landmarks scattered throughout the map.

Stage 1: Regional Rookie

| Leave Fruit or Incense at a Spirit House | Interact with any Spirit House in Tomarang. Offerings can be bought from stalls or prepared at home. |
| Use Tomarani Introduction | This is a special social option with locals. Works best when your Sim is in a good mood. |
| Meet a Sim with the Child of the Village Trait | Talk to Tomarang locals. This trait is unique to some townies. |
| Use a Squat Toilet | Found in many public lots and rentals in Tomarang. Just use the toilet as usual! |
Stage 2: Culinary Connoisseur

| Prepare a Recipe Using a Pressure Cooker | The new Pressure Cooker appliance is available in Build/Buy Mode. You’ll need it for traditional dishes. |
Stage 3: Explorer Extraordinaire

| Explore Tomarang’s Cave | Head to Beard Beard Cove and explore the mysterious cave. Watch out for moodlets! |
| Explore the Sulae Tiger Sanctuary | This is a specific map point your Sim can visit and interact with. The trait Tomarang Expert makes it easier later on. |
| View the Statue of Khun Mae and the Tiger | This statue is in a public area interact with it to complete the goal. It’s also a beautiful photo op! |

Upon completion, your Sim will unlock:
- Increased skill when cooking Tomarani cuisine
- Better results when exploring sacred or hidden areas
- Improved social outcomes with Child of the Village Sims
- Bonus chance to find Tassels and secret interactions
