How to Build the Cooking Skill

Sims gain the Cooking skill by using:

  • A fridge, stove, and counter
  • Any household or community kitchen
  • The “Cook” interaction under any meal option

As your Sim levels up, they’ll unlock:

  • New and better recipes
  • Higher quality meals

  • Recipes cost Simoleons! Use home-grown produce to reduce costs
  • With Cottage Living, turn on the Simple Living lot trait to require actual ingredients
  • Yes calories exist! Too much comfort food can lead to weight gain. Balance with the Fitness skill
  • Pair with the Master Chef aspiration for bonus satisfaction and reward traits
