From casual tinkering to holistic mastery, the Apothecary skill lets Sims research, forage, and craft Elixirs and Cures that change moods, fix Ailments, and even shield against supernatural effects. It is a 10-level skill introduced in Enchanted by Nature and is core to elixir crafting and natural healing gameplay. Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders can learn it.

How to Build the Apothecary Skill
- Craft at the Leafy Ledge Apothecary Table
Study Cures and craft Elixirs. Many recipes require specific ingredients in your Sim’s inventory. - Read Skill Books
Apothecary Vol. 1–3 can raise the skill and are slower than active crafting. Books typically cap at level 9. - Research on a Computer
More Choices → Web → Research → Research Cures & Elixirs. - Attend a Skill Class (Discover University)
Phone → Business app → Sit in on Skill Class → Apothecary (09:00–21:00, §250). Rabbit hole class, returns with skill gain. - Forage for Ingredients (from Level 2)
Click ground on dirt, grass, or sand → Forage for Apothecary Ingredients. - Whiteboard Learning (Businesses & Hobbies)

Top Tips
- Farm ingredients, reduce costs: Start foraging at level 2, and grow staples like Daisy, Basil, Sage, Lemon Trees. Buying at the table works in a pinch, but foraging and gardening keep margins high.
- Make money early with cures and charms: Entry-level cures and later Luck Charms are quick sellers at street sales or a dedicated shop.
- Use the Emotion Stone smartly: Carry one to Detect Emotions, Show Off, and Bottle Emotions for later recipes. It is fragile and limited to one per Sim.
- Push progression with classes and research: If you own Discover University, a single class can bridge slow levels. Keep a computer handy to Research between crafting batches.
- Ailments are a market: Sims can catch Ailments from imbalance, fairies, or off-lot toilets. Keep a small stock of common cures for quick profit and convenience.
