Horse Agility Skill Guide

Train your horse to navigate obstacles, jumps, and courses with grace and precision! The Agility skill is all about helping your equine companion master physical challenges, boosting performance in competitions and on the ranch. Comes with The Sims 4 Horse Ranch pack.

How to Start Agility Training

To start building the Agility skill (for horses, not Sims!):

  • Own or adopt a horse
  • Set up agility obstacles like training barrels, poles, and jumps (available in Build/Buy)

  • Enter competitions: Testing skills in shows boosts confidence and offers rewards.
  • Bond matters: A strong Sim-horse relationship improves training outcomes.
  • Upgrade obstacles: Better equipment leads to more advanced skill gains.

Where to See Horse Skills

Unlike Sim skills (which appear in the Sim’s skill bar), horse-specific skills like Agility, Jumping, and Temperament are tracked directly on the horse’s profile.

To view your horse’s skill progress:

  • Open your Sim’s relationships/friendship panel
  • Click on your horse’s portrait
  • You’ll see the horse’s individual skill bars listed on their profile screen

Note:
You will not see these horse skills in your Sim’s personal skill panel (even though the Sim builds Riding and Animal Care there). Horses and Sims have separate tracking systems!

Tip: Keep checking your horse’s profile regularly to see how they’re progressing and which training areas still need attention.

Final Thoughts

The Agility Skill transforms your horse from a casual ranch buddy into a competition-ready star. With patience, practice, and the right setup, you and your horse can shine in shows and master even the trickiest courses.
