Historical Context

The early 20th century in Britain marked the tail end of Victorian traditions and the birth of modern life. The Edwardian era brought electricity, automobiles, and radios, followed by the devastation of World War I, reshaping gender roles as women took up new jobs. The roaring 1920s offered cultural highs, but the Great Depression of the 1930s introduced economic lows. By the late 1930s, political tensions escalated into World War II, testing Britain’s strength and unity like never before.

World: Move to Willow Creek or Newcrest to reflect growing suburbs or city life
Household: Continue with descendants of your Victorian Sims
Funds: Reset to §8,000 (money 8000) to reflect economic stability
Lot Challenges: Simple Living optional; electricity and plumbing widely available
