What Is It?
The Hope vs Order aspiration is the introductory aspiration in The Sims 4: Star Wars – Journey to Batuu. It’s a short, one-step aspiration that introduces your Sim to the world of Batuu, helping them learn about the two factions before choosing sides. Once complete, this aspiration unlocks two new aspirations one for each faction and serves as a key gateway into deeper gameplay.

Reward Trait: A Gift of Credits
Upon completion, your Sim receives a payment of Galactic Credits from the faction they helped.
There is no reward trait, setting this aspiration apart — instead, you gain currency and access to one of two major paths:
- Paragon of Hope (Resistance)
- Enforcer of Order (First Order)
Note: Sims can switch factions and aspirations at any time, but your reputation with the opposing side may make it harder.

This aspiration has just one stage but completing it sets the stage for your entire Batuu experience.
First Steps

| Ask About Resistance or First Order Presence | Click on Sims and choose “Ask About…” under Friendly interactions. You can ask about either faction. |
| Complete a Mission for the Resistance or First Order | Talk to a Resistance or First Order contact (marked with icons). Accept and complete a mission from either side. |
| Bug Alert: Some players have reported the mission not completing the goal. If that happens, use the aspiration cheat: |
Follow-Up Aspirations
Once completed, your Sim can choose either path:
- 🟦 Paragon of Hope – Join the Resistance
- 🟥 Enforcer of Order – Fight for the First Order
You can freely switch between these paths, but if you complete one, your Sim may struggle to earn rep with the opposite faction.
Completion Rewards

- Use this aspiration to explore Batuu before locking in a side
- Choose Resistance for a heroic, stealthy story
- Choose First Order for strict, commanding gameplay
- Pair this with Galactic Privateer if you want to avoid taking sides altogether
