Astronaut Career Guide

In the Sims 4 Astronaut Career, you can aim for the stars literally!
Choose between becoming a Space Ranger or an Interstellar Smuggler, build your own rocket, and explore the galaxy!
Learn all about promotions, rewards, and which path might suit your Sim best.

How to Start

In the Astronaut Career, your Sim will level up by working on Logic and Fitness while preparing for space adventures.
At Level 7, you’ll get to pick between two exciting branches:

Space Ranger – Noble protector of the galaxy
Interstellar Smuggler – High-risk, high-reward outlaw of the stars

Note: This is a rabbit hole career, meaning your Sim disappears while at work.

Important Tips

  • Rocket Access: You’ll get a free rocket later, but you can buy one anytime for §5,000 + §1,000 to construct under Buy > Skills > Rocketry.

Final Thoughts

While the Astronaut Career offers excellent pay and cool space gear, the fact that any Sim can build a rocket and explore space without the career makes it feel a little less exclusive.
Still, it’s perfect for Sims who love adventure, science, and the thrill of the unknown!
