How to Become a Vampire

There are three main ways for your Sims to become vampires:

Method	How it Works
Create-a-Sim	You can make a Vampire directly in CAS using the “Add Occult Sim” option. Customise their Dark Form separately with fangs, glowing eyes, and veins.
Ask to Turn	Befriend an existing Vampire (such as Vladislaus Straud in Forgotten Hollow) and ask them to turn you. Your Sim will be bitten, gain the “Strangely Hungry” moodlet, and fully transform after about 36 hours.
Vampire Babies	Offspring of Vampires can inherit vampirism, but it activates only when they become Teens.

Vampire Needs and Energy

Need	Description
Thirst	Replaces Hunger. Feed on Sims, drink Plasma Packs, or eat Plasma Fruit to survive.
Vampiric Energy	Replaces normal Energy. Used for powers, duels, and sunlight resistance. Can be restored with Dark Meditation or sleeping in a coffin.
No Bladder	Vampires no longer need to use the bathroom.

Feeding Options

Source	Notes
Other Sims	Feed by asking politely or compelling them. A deep drink can cause Sims to faint but gives stronger Thirst relief.
Plasma Fruit	Can be grown or harvested around Forgotten Hollow. Used in cooking Plasma Salads and baked goods.
Plasma Packs	Buy from a computer (Vampire Lore Level 3) or craft from fish and frogs (Vampire Lore Level 4).

Vampire Powers and Weaknesses

Each time you rank up, you earn Power Points to unlock new abilities — but you must also take on weaknesses to balance them.

Withered Stomach	Regular food makes your Vampire sick.
Guilty Drinker	Feels tense after feeding without permission.
Thin-Skinned	More vulnerable to sunlight.
Insatiable Thirst	Thirst decays faster, requiring frequent feeding.
Uncontrollable Hissing	Randomly hisses, lowering relationships.
