Skill Info
From foraging for food to bathing in rivers, the Natural Living skill lets Sims survive and thrive in the great outdoors. Introduced in The Sims 4: Enchanted by Nature, this ten-level skill allows Sims to meet all of their Needs directly from nature—sleeping under the stars, eating foraged harvestables, and adapting to the elements. It’s the perfect skill for off-the-grid, outdoor, or fairy-themed gameplay.

How to Build the Natural Living Skill
1. Forage and interact with nature
Click on grass, dirt, or sand and select Forage for Food, Forage for Plants, or Forage for Collectibles. These interactions build the skill quickly, especially when combined with other outdoor activities.
2. Sleep or bathe outdoors
Sims gain experience by choosing Sleep Here on the ground or Bathe in shallow ponds, rivers, or shorelines. Hygiene and comfort improve with each level.
3. Read skill books
Purchase the Natural Living books from a bookshelf or computer:
- Natural Living Vol. 1: Sleeping Under the Stars (Levels 1–3)
- Natural Living Vol. 2: Frog Legs and Fresh Air (Levels 4–6)
- Natural Living Vol. 3: The Art of Balance (Levels 7–10)
4. Research Natural Living online
Select a computer → More Choices → Web → Research → Research Natural Living.
5. Attend a Skill Class (Discover University)
Phone → Business App → Sit in on Skill Class → choose Natural Living. Sims will leave the lot and gain experience.
6. Use the Whiteboard (Businesses & Hobbies Pack)
Sims can learn or teach the skill using the Sharing is Caring Whiteboard.
Age Requirements:
Children (via Mental Skill), Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders can all build the Natural Living skill.

| 5 | Eat frogs, Forage for Collectibles, and Talk to Nature to recover Social. Bathing outdoors is now faster and cleaner. |
| 6 | Immune to extreme heat or cold (requires Seasons). Can sleep or bathe outdoors in any weather. Raw fish provides more Hunger and less discomfort. Sleeping outside may restore Balance. |
| 7 | Hygiene unaffected by the Privy Bush. Eating harvestables increases Fun. Unlocks Meditate in Nature interaction. |
| 8 | Raw fish and harvestables now fully satisfy Hunger. |
| 9 | Frogs give more Hunger. Talking to Nature restores more Social. Meditating in Nature now restores Balance. Sleep becomes undisturbed. |
