🌀 How to Become a Spellcaster

There are two ways your Sim can join the ranks of the magically gifted:

1. Be Born a Spellcaster 🧒

Children of Spellcasters can inherit the magical trait. The power fully activates when they age up into a Teen.

2. Seek the Magic Realm ✨

For non-occult Sims:

• Use the portal in Glimmerbrook to travel to the Magic Realm.
• Ask one of the three Sages (Practical, Mischief, Untamed) to “Ask How to Use Magic.”
• Collect 7 magical motes and return to the Sage.
• Boom – you’re now a Spellcaster!

✨ Spellcaster Powers & Abilities

Spellcasters have access to:

🔮 Three Magic Schools

• Practical Magic – Fix objects, clean, teleport
• Mischief Magic – Hex enemies, steal needs
• Untamed Magic – Set fire, control death

🧪 Potion Brewing

Use a cauldron to brew potions like:

• Potion of Good Fortune
• Potion of Emotional Stability
• Potion of Immortality (!!!)

⚔️ Spellcaster Duels

Challenge other Spellcasters to duels for:

• Knowledge
• Ingredients
• Artefacts
• Fun!

🧬 Spellcaster Perks

Level up to earn points and unlock perks like:

• Increased spell success rate
• Extra talent points
• Hexproof (immune to curses)

💧 Magical Charge

Spells drain magical energy. Overcharging can lead to your Sim exploding (yes, literally).

• Monitor the Charge Meter
• Avoid casting too many spells in a row

👗 Glimmerbrook & The Magic Realm

• Travel to Glimmerbrook, the base world added in Realm of Magic.
• Enter the Magic Realm through the portal to train, duel, and brew potions.
• Learn spells from Sages or from tomes and practice.

🛑 How to Stop Being a Spellcaster

Want to return to your non-magical roots?

• Drink the Potion of Purging to remove all magical powers
• Or use a cheat:
  traits.remove_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult

This decision is irreversible unless you seek initiation again.
