Sticky Fingers Aspiration – Guide

Become a master of acquisition — through less-than-legal means!

What Is It?

The Sticky Fingers aspiration is part of the Deviance category in The Sims 4 (Base Game). It focuses solely on swiping objects using the Kleptomaniac trait. Sims aim to steal their way to a fortune and unlock a powerful reward trait that boosts their stealth.

Aspiration Milestone

TaskTips
Swipe Items Worth §250,000This is the only task. Your Sim must use Attempt to Swipe to steal items. The total swiped value adds up gradually over time.
High-value targets include museum artwork, electronics, sculptures, and gym equipment.
Focus on increasing Mischief skill to unlock better objects to swipe. Level 10 allows swiping from public spaces like gyms and museums.

Do not use the Burgliate spell — it does not count. EA has confirmed this interaction is bugged and incompatible with the aspiration. Only the default “Attempt to Swipe” interaction applies.

Reward Trait: Enhanced Kleptomaniac

Sims who complete this aspiration unlock Enhanced Kleptomaniac a trait that dramatically reduces their chance of getting caught while swiping, even in front of others.

Perfect for:

  • Criminal career Sims
  • Mischief gameplay
  • Villainous roleplays
  • Those building wealth the unusual way
