What Is It?

The Spellcraft & Sorcery aspiration (from the Realm of Magic game pack) guides your Sim through becoming a powerful spellcaster, mastering spells, duels, and ranking up in the magical order. It’s a fun and progressive occult path filled with spellcasting chaos and alchemical potential.

Stage 1: First Steps

Task	Tips
Become a Spellcaster	You can start in CAS, or talk to a Sage in the Magic Realm and complete a brief quest
Travel to the Magic Realm	Use any Glimmerbrook portal or ask a spellcaster to “Go to Magic Realm”
Learn a Spell	Talk to Sages, experiment at the cauldron, or use your Spellbook to learn a spell

TIP: Focused and Confident moods can help with early success in spellcasting.

Stage 2: Learning the Ways

Task	Tips
Reach Spellcaster Rank 2 (Acolyte)	Use magic often: cast spells, brew potions, practice magic, and duel
Know 3 Different Spells	You’ll naturally learn spells as you practice or ask Sages. Spells fall into Practical, Mischief, or Untamed magic types
Cast a Spell on Another Sim	Click another Sim → Magic > Spells. Mischief and Practical spells work well. Spells can backfire, so watch your charge meter!

TIP: Practicing magic from your Sim’s spellbook is a safe way to increase rank without duelling.

Stage 3: Devilish Dueler

Task	Tips
Reach Spellcaster Rank 3 (Adept)	Use potions, magic practice, and duels to boost your experience
Win 3 Duels Against Other Spellcasters	Click a caster → Magic Duel > Choose Type. Duelling ground in the Magic Realm gives best results
Know 5 Different Spells	Keep learning from Sages or using “Practice Magic” interactions. You’ll get a notification when a new spell is learned

TIP: Duelling gets easier the higher your rank avoid fighting Master-level casters early!

Stage 4: Wand-erful Spellcaster

Task	Tips
Reach Spellcaster Rank 5 (Virtuoso)	This is the final rank. Continue brewing, duelling, practicing, and casting to max out your spellcaster progress
Know 10 Different Spells	There are 24 spells total, so 10 is very manageable. Focus on variety across all magic types

TIP: Use your familiar and potion boosts (e.g., Potion of Nimble Mind) to help speed up rank progression!
