What Is It?

The Nerd Brain aspiration (base game) blends Logic, Handiness, and Rocket Science into one versatile and rewarding path. Your Sim becomes both mentally sharp and practically skilled, fixing and building with ease and ends up with one of the best utility traits in the game.

Stage 1: Prudent Student

Task	Tips
Finish Reading 3 Books	Can be any genre, but consider starting skill books in Logic, Handiness, or Rocket Science
Achieve Level 3 Logic Skill	Use a chess table, telescope, or microscope. Reading Logic books also works

TIP: Having a chess table at home speeds this up without needing to travel.

Stage 2: Erudite

Task	Tips
Repair or Upgrade an Object	Break or damage any sink, toilet, or computer or upgrade one if you already have the Handiness skill started
Craft an Object on the Woodworking Table	Buy the table from Build/Buy > Skills > Miscellaneous → Choose “Craft Sculpture” or “Craft Furniture”
Achieve Level 6 Logic Skill	Keep playing chess or reading, or use telescope/microscope for logic boosts

TIP: Upgrading objects builds Handiness faster than repairing alone.

Stage 3: Rocket Scientist

Task	Tips
Achieve Level 5 Handiness Skill	Craft furniture, repair broken items, and upgrade plumbing or electronics to build it up quickly
Launch or Upgrade a Rocket 5 Times	After building the rocket, choose either launch (which can be repeated) or complete upgrades like “Install Landing Stabilizers”
Own a Rocket Ship	Costs §5,000 for the launch pad + §1,000 to build. Found in Build/Buy under “Outdoor Activities”

TIP: Use Focused mood for quicker rocket upgrades. This part gets expensive make sure to budget!

Stage 4: Nerd Brain

Task	Tips
Achieve Level 10 Logic Skill	Read Logic books (Vol 3), use microscope or chess table. Focused aura boosts speed
Fix or Upgrade 5 Objects	Includes sinks, TVs, fridges, toilets, etc. If you’ve already upgraded things in earlier stages, they’ll count

TIP: Once you unlock the Handy trait, you’ll be able to instantly fix or upgrade anything going forward! Perfect for long-term gameplay.
