What Is It?

The Computer Whiz aspiration is for Sims who are obsessed with technology from gaming to programming to advancing in the Tech Guru career. You’ll develop the Programming and Video Gaming skills, build an expensive tech setup, and eventually unlock powerful computer-based advantages.

Stage 1: With the Program

Task	Tips
Practice Programming for 5 Total Hours	Use a computer → Practice Programming. Unlocks hacking, freelance jobs, and game development later
Play Video Games for 5 Total Hours	Use a computer or game console → Play Game > Sims Forever, Blicblock, or Incredible Sports

TIP: This stage is great to build both skills before choosing a Tech Guru career path later.

Stage 2: Technically Adept

Task	Tips
Maintain Focused Mood for 2 Hours While Gaming	Get Focused by reading a logic book, drinking pitch black tea, or browsing Simpedia, then game for 2 hours without interruption
Achieve Level 3 Programming Skill	Practice or hack using the computer. Freelance coding gigs also raise the skill
Own §3,000 Worth of Electronics	Buy TVs, computers, tablets, consoles, or even pricey smart speakers. You can sell them after if you’re low on simoleons

TIP: Use “Enable Emotional Aura” on Focused décor items to stay in the right mood longer.

Stage 3: Computer Geek

Task	Tips
Become an Adult	Must be Young Adult or older
Reach Level 3 of Tech Guru Career	Join via phone or computer → Tech Guru Career. Choose either eSports Gamer or Start-Up Entrepreneur track later
Make a Video Game or an App	After Programming level 5–7, use computer → Programming > Make Mobile App or Make Video Game

TIP: These take time to complete. Make sure your Sim isn’t hungry or tired before starting.

Stage 4: Computer Whiz

Task	Tips
Reach Level 5 of the Tech Guru Career	Continue working, practice programming or gaming, and go to work in a Focused mood for promotion boosts
Spend 100 Hours on a Computer	Cumulative total so programming, gaming, writing, hacking, and web browsing all count

TIP: Use your computer as much as possible from the start to passively chip away at this long-hour requirement.
